Am 30.9.2017 oeffnet die Star Wars Identities in Utrecht am CineMec ihre Pforten. Wir durften vorab schon einmal die Ausstellung besuchen. Vielen Dank an die Verantwortlichen!
Die Ausstellung hat in Utrecht eine weitere Station auf ihrer Welttour gemacht. Mit Utrecht hat man eine Metropole gewaehlt die verkehrsguenstig gelegen fuer mehrere Laender eine Reise Wert ist. Das CineMec ist ueber die Autobahnen einfach zu erreichen und bietet jede Menge Parkmoeglichkeiten. Utrecht selber bietet neben der Ausstellung freundliche Bewohner und so manch andere Sehenswuerdigkeit. Mal abgesehen von Jaarbeurs und der Dutch Comic Con.
In der Ausstellung finden sich ca. 200 Exponate aus den Lucasfilm Archiven. Von Bildern bis hin zu Props gibt es einen guten Eindruck ueber die Filme. Neben der OT finden sich auch Exponate zu Clone Wars und E7. Einige Exponate kennt man bereits aus vorigen Ausstellungen aber es finden sich auch Highlights wie der Millennium Falcon, SlaveI, Sternenzerstoerer. Nur um ein paar zu nennen. Die Ausstellung durchlaeuft man mit Audiounterstuetzung, an verschiedenen Stationen erhaelt man so Info ueber die Ausstellung, Star Wars. Ein weiterer Gag bildet das elektronische Arnband. Mit diesem waehlt man zu Beginn eine Spezies, und im Laufe der Ausstellung kann man Fragen beantworten aus denen man am Ende dann genannt bekommt welche Art Star Wars Charakter man ist. Neben der Ausstellung kann man natuerlich auch Merchandise erwerben. Eine schoene Idee sind die Fotoautomaten, hier kann man ein Bild von sich machen, das in eine Star Wars Szene eingebettet wird. Alles in allem lohnt sich ein Besuch auf jeden Fall um die echten Props mal aus der Naehe zu sehen. Fuer einige zum staunen und bewundern, fuer Cosplayer, Customizer und Modellbauer als Anregung. Und fuer die detailverliebten darunter um Akkurat zu bauen.

On 9/30/17 the doors will open in Utrecht next to the CineMec for the Star Wars Identities Exhibition. We were able to visit ahead of time for a tour, many thanks to the PR Company and Exhibitors!
With Utrecht they have picked an awesome city with friendly people, great infrastructure. And the possibility to combine the visit to the exhibition with other activities around Utrecht. Utrecht also hosts other events like Jaarbeurs and the Dutch Comic Con. Utrecht is perfectly located nearby other countries should not hesitate to visit. The Exhibition is easily reached with plenty of parking opportunities.
Inside the Exhibition you will find 200 some original items coming from the archives of Lucasfilm. Some items have been shown before but this Exhibition shows gems like the Millennium Falcon, SlaveI, Star Destroyer just to name a few.
Next to our beloved Original Trilogy visitors can also find items from Clone Wars and Episode 7.
When visiting the Exhibition you will enter a tour supported by audio information which you will receive through a headset. As if this is not enough electronics guest will also receive a bracelet which is used to find out what character you will be in the Star Wars universe. By answering questions at different stations you build your character and at the end of the Exhibition you will find out, if you are a bounty Hunter, a Rebel, ... The Exhibition also sports 2 photobooths were you can have pictures taken of you and your image will be worked into a Star Wars scene. And you and your kids can purchase Star Wars Identities Merchandise to show the world that you are a fan.
The Exhibition is definetely worth a trip, or two or three,... for the fan who just wants to enjoy being around the real stuff, for customizers, cosplayer and modelmakers the perfect location to get ideas and to build stuff the right way.
